Abstract
ABSTRAK
Kinerja masih menjadi permasalahan yang selalu dihadapi oleh pihak manajemen, sehingga manajemen perlu mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kinerja karyawan. Banyak penelitian terdahulu menyatakan bahwa OCB berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Terdapat beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi OCB yakni faktor ekternal (komitmen organisasi) dan faktor internal (kepribadian). Pengaruh komitmen organisasi dan kepribadian terhadap kinerja karyawan masih menjadi kontradiksi di kalangan para ahli. Beberapa menyebutkan bahwa pengaruh keduanya adalah signifikan, namun tidak sedikit pula yang menyatakan tidak signifikan. Satuan Kerja PDAM Kabupaten Ponorogo masih banyak dikeluhkan oleh masyarakat Kabupaten Ponorogo terutama dalam hal pelayanan. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut mengenai beberapa permasalahan tersebut.
Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh langsung dan tidak langsung organizational commitment dan big five personality terhadap employee performance dengan organizational citizenship behavior sebagai variabel intervening pada karyawan PDAM (Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum) Kabupaten Ponorogo. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan sampel sebanyak 70 responden karyawan PDAM Kabupaten Ponorogo. Data diperoleh melalui pembagian kuisioner dan interview. Analisis data menggunakan path analysis dengan program SPSS versi 16.00.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh secara tidak langsung big five personality terhadap employee performance melalui organizational citizenship behavior. Hal ini semakin menguatkan bahwa kinerja karyawan sangat dipengaruhi faktor internal seseorang yakni big five personality yang dimediasi oleh organizational citizenship behavior.
ABSTRACT
Performance is still a problem by the management, so management needs to know the factors that affect employee performance. Many previous studies stating that OCB positive and significant impact on employee performance. There are several factors that influence OCB are external factors (organizational commitment) and internal factors (personality). Organizational commitment and personality influence on employee performance is still a contradiction among the experts. Some mentioned that the influence are significant, but not a few who said it was not significant. PDAM Ponorogo still received complaints by the people of Ponorogo especially in terms of service. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct further research on some of these issues.
The aim in this study was to determine the direct and indirect effects of
organizational commitment and the big five personality on employee performance with organizational citizenship behavior as an intervening variable in the employee PDAM (Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum) Ponorogo. This study uses a quantitative approach with sample as many as 70 respondents employees of PDAM Ponorogo. Gathering data using questionnaires and interviews Analysis of data using path analysis with SPSS version 16.0.
The results showed that there are significant indirect big five personality on employee performance with organizational citizenship behavior as intervening variable. This further confirms that the employee's performance is strongly influenced a person's internal factors which big five personality mediated by organizational citizenship behavior.
