Abstract
ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mengetahui dan menganalisa jenis jenis komunikasi administratif yang berkembang di Universitas Islam Swasta Malang. 2) mengetahui dan menganalisa konstribusi komunikasi administratif dalam peningkatan pelaksanaan Instansi Pendidikan di Universitas Islam. 3) mengetahui dan menganalisa kesulitan dan hambatan komunikasi administratif di Universitas Islam Swasta Malang.
Peneliti menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif.
Instrumen yang digunakan adalah metode observasi dan wawancara.
Penelitian ini menghasilkan beberapa kesimpulan, diantaranya
adalah Universitas Islam Swasta Malang berpegang pada sistem
komunikasi administratif dengan menggunakan sarana yang beragam secara tertulis seperti keluar masuk email (incoming/outgoing mails), telepon, fax, internet, lembaran tertulis, dan pengarsipan semua komunikasi setelah selesai.
Dan di Universitas terdapat unit komunikasi yang tersambung pada kantor tata usaha. Komunikasi ini digunakan di bidang-bidang administrasi, prosedur mahasiswa, pendidikan antara mahasiswa, pegawai dan para dosen. Konstribusi komunikasi administratif dalam peningkatan pelaksanaan instansi pendidikan di Universitas Islam Swasta Malang berlangsung dalam bentuk penyederhanaan prosedur yang rumit dan mempermudah prosesnya, penyelesaian masalah-masalah administratif, pertukaran informasi, berpartisipasi dalam seminar dan kongres ilmiah, menopang hubungan kemanusiaan, menjaga keamanan kampus, peningkatan pelayanan. Hambatan terbesar yang dihadapi sistem komunikasi administratif di Universitas ini adalah beberapa sarana komunikasi itu membutuhkan waktu yang lama, khususnya komunikasi tertulis, beberapa pegawai tidak mumpuni dalam berinteraksi dengan sistem komunikasi ini, beban/daya terpusatkan pada jaringan dial-up, kekurangan beberapa perangkat dan stasiun, dan teknik komunikasi di kantor-kantor tata usaha (administrasi), meningkatnya biaya servis telepon dan internet, lemahnya security jaringan, dan kebutuhan mengupdate sistem komuniasi administratif.
ABSTRACT
This study aims to: 1. Identify and analyze the types of administrative communication developed at the Islamic Private University in Malang. 2. Knowledge and analysis of the contribution of administrative communication in improving the performance of the educational institution
in the Islamic University. 3. Knowledge and analysis of difficulties and obstacles of administrative communication at the Islamic Private University In Malang.
The researcher used qualitative descriptive methods. The tools used are monitoring and interviewing.
This study produces several conclusions. One of them is that the basic principle of the Islamic Private University in Malang is the administrative communication system using various written means such as incoming / outgoing emails, telephone, fax, Internet, written paper, and filing all
communications after completion. Another conclusion is that the University has a liaison unit linked to the Administrative Office. This communication is carried out in administrative areas, student affairs procedures, and
education among students, staff and lecturers.
The contribution of administrative communication can be seen in improving the performance of the educational institution at the Islamic University in Malang in the form of simplifying complex procedures and making the process easier, solving administrative problems, sharing information, participating in scientific symposium and conference, maintaining humanity and relationship, maintaining campus integrity and improving service. The biggest obstacles facing the university's administrative communication system include some communication tools that actually need longer, particularly written communication.
Some staff are still inefficient in communicating using this
communications system; load / central block on the dial-up network. The lack of equipment and terminals, communication techniques in the administrative office; the increasing cost of telephone and Internet service; the weak security network; and the requirements for the modernization of
the administrative communications system.
