Abstract
ABSTRAK
Kemandirian merupakan prinsip dasar pondok pesantren dalam rangka mewujudkan tujuan-tujuan pokok pondok pesantren, oleh karena itu, kemandirian merupakan sesuatu yang mutlak diperlukan, baik kemandirian dalam hal kebijakan, ekonomi dan kurikulum. Untuk mewujudkan kemandirian pondok pesantren dibutuhkan manajemen strategik, yang dimulai dari perumusan, implementasi dan evaluasi. Maka, penelitian ini terfokus pada tiga unsur yang dianggap penting, yaitu mulai proses perumusan strategik, implementasi strategik, dan evaluasi strategik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : (1) Untuk menemukan proses perumusan strategik di pondok pesantren Sidogiri Pasuruan dan Pondok Pesantren Al-Ishlah Bondowoso dalam mewujudkan kemandirian pesantren, (2)Untuk menemukan cara implementasi strategik di pondok pesantren Sidogiri Pasuruan dan pondok pesantren Al-Ishlah Bondowoso dalam mewujudkan kemandirian pesantren (3) Untuk menemukan evaluasi strategik di pondok pesantren Sidogiri Pasuruan dan pondok pesantren Al- Ishlah Bondowoso dalam mewujudkan kemandirian pesantren.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus dengan rancangan studi multi situs. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipan dan studi dokumentasi. Data yang telah terkumpul ditafsirkan dan dianalisis menggunakan proses reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Kredibiltas data dicek melalui triangulasi, sumber data, pengecekan anggota, dan diskusi dengan teman sejawat serta pengamatan.
Adapun hasil penelitian ini adalah : (1) Bahwa proses perumusan strategik dalam mewujudkan kemandirian pondok pesantren dilakukan melalui (a) Kiai (yang memiliki hak eksklusif dan otoritatif) melakukan langkah yang visioner untuk merumuskan ide/ gagasan fundamental pondok pesantren, (b). Melaksanakan kegiatan pemberdayaan ekonomi produktif. (2) Implementasi strategik dalam mewujudkan kemandirian pondok pesantren dilakukan melalui (a) Adanya sinergi yang baik antara figur kiai (kultural) dan pengurus pesantren (struktural) untuk menciptakan manajemen yang profesional, (b) seluruh stakeholders dalam melaksanakan tugasnya dilakukan dengan penuh komitmen, niat dan motivasinya untuk ibadah sehingga bisa WAH and CASH. (3) Evaluasi strategik dalam mewujudkan kamandirian pondok pesantren dilakukan melalui evaluasi kinerja yaitu pendampingan dan monitoring, jika melebihi rentang toleransi kesalahan maka akan dilakukan pembinaan dan in servise training.
Dari keseluruhan temuan, fenomena lapangan dan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa manajemen strategik untuk mewujudkan kemandirian pondok pesantren ditemukan Model Manajemen Strategik Visioner Sinergis dengan Motivasi Ibadah sehingga bisa WAH adn CASH.
ABSTRACT
Independency is a fundamental principle for Islamic boarding school to achieve its goals. Therefore, it is strongly needed, in terms of policy, economy, and curriculum. To achieve its independency, Islamic boarding school needs a strategic management consisting of formulation, implementation and evaluation.The research focuses on three essential key elements: strategic formulation process, strategic implementation, and strategic evaluation. It aims to: (1) find out the process of strategic formulation in Sidogiri Islamic Boarding School, Pasuruan and Al-Ishlah Islamic Boarding School in achieving their independency, (2)find out the strategic implementation in Sidogiri Islamic Boarding School, Pasuruan and Al-Ishlah Islamic Boarding School in achieving their independency(3)find out the strategic evaluation in Sidogiri Islamic Boarding School, Pasuruan and Al-Ishlah Islamic Boarding School in achieving their independency
The research employs a qualitative approach. It is a study case with multisite study design.The data is collected using in-depth interview, participant observations and documentation study. The data are then interpreted and analyzed through data reduction, data presentation and conclusion making. The data credibility is checked using triangulation, data source, member checking, peer discussion, and observation.
The result of the study shows that: (1) the process of strategic formulation to achieve Islamic boarding school’s independency is done through (a) Kiai (who has exclusive and authoritative right) performs a visionary step in formulating fundamental idea for Islamic boarding school, (b). Carry out the activities of productive economic empowerment. (2) Strategic implementation in achieving Islamic boarding school independency through (a) a good synergy between kiai (cultural) figure and Islamic boarding school (structural) management to achieve a professional management, (b) all stakeholderscarry out their duties with a good commitment. Their intention and motivation are to worship God so that they are able to implement WAH and CASH. (3) Strategic evaluation to achieve Islamic boarding school independency is accomplished by performance evaluation. The evaluation is done by assisting and monitoring the performance. When the mistake goes beyond the limit of tolerance, they have to follow coaching dan in service training.
From the findings, the phenomena in the field and the result of the research, it can be concluded that the strategic management for achieving Islamic boarding school independency has a visionary strategic management model which is synergetic with worship motivation. Eventually, the implementation will achieve WAH and CASH
